A nurturing introduction to school through our partnership with NINOS, Inc. Head Start, focusing on social-emotional development and play-based learning.

Must be 4 years old by September 1

Comprehensive kindergarten readiness program preparing children academically, socially, and emotionally for elementary school success.

Eligibility Requirements

Texas Pre-K is available at no cost to families who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Income eligibility (qualifies for free/reduced lunch)
  • Limited English proficiency (ELL)
  • Homeless or in foster care
  • Child of active duty military member
  • Child of fallen military member (Star of Texas)
  • Parent was injured or killed in line of duty
  • Child of certified classroom teacher (2025-2026)
