Campus History
Harlingen High School stands as the cornerstone of secondary education in the Rio Grande Valley, proudly serving the community since its founding in 1913. For 80 years, it was the sole high school in Harlingen, establishing traditions that continue to define the campus. The historic 1929 building, known as 'The Showplace of the Valley,' now serves as Vernon Middle School, while the current campus at 1201 East Marshall Avenue continues the legacy. Today, the school operates under the mission of being 'In Relentless Pursuit of Student Success' while developing a culture of caring and excellence.
