Campus History
Established in 2007 as Early College High School, Harlingen Collegiate High (HCH) is the first specialized high school in Harlingen. Founded as part of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's initiative, it provides students the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school. Originally partnered with TSTC Harlingen, HCH transitioned its partnership to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) in 2017. In Fall 2021, HCH moved into a new state-of-the-art facility located near the UTRGV Academic and Clinical Research Building, solidifying its role in the medical and educational hub of Harlingen.
