Hi, my name is

Grace and Reese. And

I'm Brianna. High school.

And we're at Coakley

Middle School. For champions,

check in. Our first

stop is our Coakley

ILC Our campus is

both indoors and outdoors.

Our library is not

just a library. Kids

can play games and

also check out books.

And next, let's check

out our art room.

Here's where we can

express our creativity. One

of the interesting projects

we've done is ceramics.

Kids can also make

money by expressing

themselves in their artwork.

The Cougar Choir is

the place to be.

As Cougar athletes, this

is where we spend

most of our time

at. Last year, we

went 11 district titles,

including myself. Being an

outdoor school, we are

separated into different

units. Our eighth grade

unit is unit 12.

Being an eighth grader,

we get the opportunity

to get high school

credits by taking Algebra

one and Spanish one.

On the other end

of our school is

our sixth grade unit.

Unit one. Coming into

sixth grade, the teachers

were so welcoming that

I didn't even have

trouble making friends. That

was just a sneak

peek of Coakley Middle

Campus History

Coakley Middle School stands as a living tribute to Mary Ellen Coakley (1884-1978), a pioneering philanthropist and one of the first female real estate agents in the Rio Grande Valley. In 1962, Mrs. Coakley generously donated approximately 19.33 acres of land to lay the foundation for the school. Since its founding that year, the campus has grown from humble beginnings to become an academic powerhouse in the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. Over six decades, Coakley has built a tradition of excellence, becoming home to one of the most successful UIL programs in Texas history.
